Boone Running Club – Their mission: “The Boone Running Club was created by passionate people who love to run. It promotes running as part of a healthy lifestyle, unites runners from all levels with various road & trail group runs, sponsors/organizes running events and provides valuable support & running tips to its members. Our friendly atmosphere is inviting to both first time beginners and experienced runners as we aim to make running fun.”

Girls on the Run – Girls on the Run is a life-changing after school program for 3rd-8th grade girls. The aim is to develop the whole girl; her physical, mental, emotional and social self.

Tailwind Cross Country/Track – Both of these groups are organized by Don Wood and designed for kids starting in 1st grade all the way through junior high school. The Track 2014 season is here! ZAP Fitness – Non-profit training center for post-collegiate, Olympic hopeful distance runners located near Blowing Rock.

Boone Greenway Trail – Beautiful area close to town with both paved and cross country trails. Map with trail distances. Parking near the Swim Complex.

Boone Fork Trail – 5 mile loop that is great for hiking or a challenging trail run.

Moses Cone Trails – Miles of amazing carriage trails with incredible scenery. Parking available at Bass Lake and the Cone Manor.
